I found out this last week that I have been accepted into Art Center School of Design in Pasadena. I will be starting as an illustration major in January.

132 Days of Darkness

My friends Matt and Leon started a project where every day Matt creates a new story of creative writing and Leon creates a new song. With the photography of Will Adler the site creates a beutiful combonation of text, visual, and audio. Posting every day poses a chanlenge for Matt an Leon adding this task onto there full time jobs they hold, but every day they produce a compelling story and a beautiful soundtrack. Swoon

One of my favorite street/instalation artists is swoon. this is a video of her and her freinds taking over SPACE, a gallery in Portland, Maine. I love the work, the fact that it is so accessible, that all the materials are found. This is so beautiful.


the whole thing is trying to hard to be artsy but it's good.

Apolis Activism

I met Stenn Parton when I was in high school, and watched as his two older brothers Rann, and Shea started there own t-shirt company Apolis, where some of the money went to help the organization Invisible Children. Over the years they have made turned their t-shirts company, selling shirts out of their trunks, into a company that is social, and environmentally minded and is now Apolis Activisim. Full clothing lines that are simple and elegant and stylish. Top notch work by the Shea brother has brought them success. Selling their clothes world wide and working with company's like Invisible Children and Rapha. Working hard to find material sources that help support those most in need.

Daniel Kioi

I just found out that my friend Daniel, who works for smashbox, just was asked if his pictures could be used for the magazine RealSimple's wedding issue! It's crazy he doesn't even like doing weddings that much, well anyone that he doesn't really know. He told me he wasn't going to do anymore weddings... we'll see how long that last after the offers come poring in. look at more of his stuff here

Today I'm off to Art Center to turn in my portfolio, and complete the process in my application there. I'm nervous. here are some quick pics of my portfolio. It is also full of naked women, small prints, painting, and some other stuff.

It is the end of October and it was fun. The cold air is blowing in from the north bringing good swells and cold water. It was a good October, good bye October.
